Mahama Arrested For Defiling 3 Girls

A 63-year-old traditional guitarist (Gonje), Mahama Issaka is in the grips of the Tamale police after allegedly defiling three girls at Shishagu in a suburb of Sagnarigu in the Northern Region of Ghana.

According to the Northern Regional Crime Officer ,Superintendent Otua Acheampong ,one of the girls is allegedly pregnant following results that Mr. Mahama has defiled the three girls at the same time. The girls(names withheld) are aged 13, 14 and 15. He however revealed that the suspect has  2 wives , 8 children, and 13 grandchildren.

Mahama was arrested after  a relative of one of the girls reported the incident to the police. 

Checks from the Northern Regional Division of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service revealed that more than 15 defiled cases have been reported since January, 2020.
