The Vice President of Ghana,Dr. Alhaji Mahammudu Bawumia on Friday, July 3,2020, registered in Walewale in the North East Region as part of the ongoing registration exercise by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana.
The Vice President got his name captured at the Kperiga Presby D/A Primary School Registration Centre in Walewale,where he hails from.
After fulfilling his civic responsibility,Dr. Bawumia expressed satisfaction particularly with the abiding of all Covid-19 safety protocols by the citizens.
" I have registered in Kpariga by hometown, and I'm happy that people are respecting social distancing ",he said.
The commission started the registration exercise on Tuesday, June 30 as part of preparation towards the December 7 elections.
The exercise, according to the EC,has been divided into phases due to the inadequacy of the registration kits and starts each day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The exercise is expected to end on Thursday,August 6.
