Kuami Eugene,the popular highlife Ghanaian Musician has been adjudged the Artist of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday, August 29.
The ceremony was launched on Friday,August 28 under strict Covid-19 protocols.
Aside winning the topmost award the Fadama-based musician was also crowned the Highlife Artiste of the Year,the third in a row for him, having won it previously in 2018 and 2019.
Though it looked like a night for the contemporary artists,the veterans also lit the stage with a blast-from-the-past performances.
NAKOREX - made up of evergreen Akosua Agyapong,Rex Omar and Amandzeba Nat Brew - brought memories of the old to bear on the audience.
The Rockstar,man of the moment, who courted controversy last year after being held high by legendary Amakye Dede as the new King of Highlife, also entertained the audience.
