Frantic rescue operations are underway to recover bodies, if any, trapped under a three-storey church building in Bortianor in the Greater Accra Region.
The Word in Action Church building collapsed on Tuesday, May 9.
There are fears some church members were in the building when the disaster struck.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service were spotted at the scene.
Colleagues from the Ghana National Fire Serviceand the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO) also came to the ground to help with rescue efforts.
Thousands of residents trooped to the scene to help save loved ones who may have been in the church when the building went down.
On count, this has been the fourth time that a building has collapsed without any sign of earthquake, experts say. This calls for a major concern and discussions.
